The room was spacious and new-fashioned and it had central heating, multi-channel TV and a microwave. The staff was great and provided HELPFUL services. The location was great and brilliant, for example, Trafalgar Park was just a short stroll away from the hotel.

Appreciated Nelson, the hotel was great within walking distance of downtown. The staff was welcoming, as well as owner. The vibe here was comfortable. You could leave a car on site.

Everything was very good, breakfast was great. The staff were supper friendly and the pool was nice. No complaints, had a comfortable stay on our next business trip.

I had an exceptional stay at Kings Gate Motel. The location was fantastic, just a short stroll to cafes and shops. The accommodation was spacious and had everything I needed. The owners were helpful and friendly, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The evening chats with other guests on the balcony while watching the sunset were a nice touch. I highly recommend this motel for its convenience and comfort.

All in all our stay was such great, nothing too much trouble. We had a recently refurbished room and a great breakfast. The place had a comfortable atmosphere.

I had reasonably priced room with lovely spa bath. It was nice to find coffee/tea making machines, a refrigerator and an oven. Location: the hotel was close enough to the shops. Everything met every demand, had a comfortable stay for more than one night.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The location couldn't be better - right in the heart of town and close to everything. Plus, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to our needs. The room was well-appointed with a spa bath, and the basic amenities were all there. I also appreciated the option of an additional roll-away bed for our group. this hotel offered great value for money.

Good bed, reasonably spacious bathroom and central heating, multi-channel TV and a microwave in the room. Particularly nice views and great facilities. Perfect service, great breakfast.

The location of the hotel was excellent, being close to everything in the city center. The staff were kind, helpful, and always had a smile on their face. The room was clean and tidy, and I loved the spacious and private atmosphere. The spa bath was a fantastic addition, and I enjoyed relaxing in it. The coffee selection, especially the plunger coffee, was great.

I had a great time staying at a motel near a lovely river walk. It was conveniently located within walking distance of the town center. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a fully refurbished bathroom. The hosts were extremely helpful and considerate, providing excellent service. The motel offered wifi, a DVD player, and access to Netflix and YouTube. The cleanliness and affordability of the accommodation were commendable.

I did notice that the stairs to the first floor were not cleaned properly.

kings gate motel was a pleasant surprise after our previous stay in nelson. the friendly staff, clean and renovated rooms, and well-equipped kitchen made our honeymoon comfortable and enjoyable. we loved being close to the city center and having cafes and restaurants nearby. the shuttle for the heaphy track was a convenient bonus. overall, a perfect stay.

Leaky fridge caused inconvenience.

Fantastic location, spacious accommodation, helpful and friendly owners, amazing spa, unique room design.
